SCXW189903400\">Aquamatie<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW189903400\">\u00a0is een methode van uiteindelijke bestemming die beschikbaar is voor zowel onze menselijke als onze geliefde huisdieren. De wetenschappelijke naam voor dit op water gebaseerde proces is alkalische hydrolyse. Het is hetzelfde proces dat deel uitmaakt van de natuurlijke gang van zaken wanneer een lichaam in de aarde wordt gelegd. Een combinatie van zachte waterstroming, temperatuur en alkaliteit wordt gebruikt om de afbraak van organisch materiaal te versnellen.<\/span><\/p><p>Aquamatie voor huisdieren is overal goedgekeurd in de Verenigde Staten en Canada. Aquamatie voor mensen is goedgekeurd in 21 staten, 4 provincies, en ook in andere delen van de wereld.\u00a0<\/p><p>Het aquamatieproces vindt plaats na eventuele afscheidsbijeenkomsten of bezoekuren die de familie wenst te houden. Wanneer het moment daar is, wordt het lichaam met respect in een roestvrijstalen bak geplaatst. Afhankelijk van individuele kenmerken (gewicht, geslacht, of het lichaam is gebalsemd) wordt er alkali aan het proces toegevoegd, waarna de bak met water wordt gevuld.\u00a0 De oplossing van 951 delen water en 51 delen alkali wordt verwarmd tot 93-150 \u00b0C en gedurende het gehele proces zachtjes gecirculeerd.\u00a0\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Aan het einde van het proces is al het materiaal afgebroken tot de kleinste bouwstenen; er blijft geen DNA of RNA over. Het steriele proceswater wordt afgevoerd voor recycling (ons lichaam bestaat immers voor ongeveer 65% uit water), en de machine spoelt de apparatuur en de overblijfselen af met vers water.\u00a0 Wanneer de operator de deur opent, blijven alleen de anorganische botmineralen over. Deze mineralen worden tot poeder verwerkt en in een urn aan de familie teruggegeven.  Deze laatste verwerkingsstap is hetzelfde proces dat bij vlamcrematie wordt gevolgd.  Veel families houden een herdenking of bijeenkomst wanneer de stoffelijke resten van de geliefde weer in de zorg van de familie worden teruggegeven.<\/p><p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW245942109\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW245942109\">Het vlamcrematieproces vindt plaats bij 1600-1800\u00b0F met de resten in direct contact met de vlam. Een deel van de anorganische minerale resten gaat via de schoorsteen de lucht in. De\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW245942109\">Aquamatie<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW245942109\">\u00a0het proces vindt plaats bij 200-300\u00b0F\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW245942109\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW245942109\">zonder\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW245942109\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW245942109\">elke brand, en de watercirculatie in het systeem is een vergelijkbare stroming als die van een beek of stroom. Het is erg zacht voor de resterende mineralen, waardoor er meer as aanwezig kan zijn aan het einde van het proces.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW245942109\" data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><strong><span class=\"TextRun SCXW95850252\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW95850252\">De asresten van 100% zijn veilig om mee om te gaan. Miracle Gro is een meststof, maar als deze te veel wordt gebruikt, kan het een plant doden. Een dagelijks multivitamine is niet giftig wanneer het volgens de aanwijzingen wordt ingenomen, maar het zou wel giftig (en waarschijnlijk dodelijk) zijn als de hele fles zou worden ingenomen. Bij het verspreiden of strooien van as moeten we rekening houden met waar we het strooien. Een crematie tuin die het strooien van as van honderden individuen toestaat, kan een uitdagende omgeving zijn voor het kweken van planten.
