Het maakt gebruik van water in plaats van vuur om een lichaam terug te geven aan Moeder Aarde.<\/p><p><strong>De wetenschappelijke naam voor dit proces is Alkaline Hydrolyse. <\/strong>Het is hetzelfde proces dat deel uitmaakt van de natuurlijke loop wanneer een lichaam te ruste wordt gelegd in de aarde.<strong> Het maakt gebruik van een combinatie van waterstroming, temperatuur en alkaliteit om het natuurlijke proces te versnellen.<\/strong><\/p><p>Bij aquamatie (alkalische hydrolyse) wordt het lichaam van de overledene eerbiedig in een container geplaatst, die vervolgens in een schoon, roestvrijstalen vat wordt gezet. Een combinatie van een zachte waterstroom, temperatuur en alkaliteit wordt gebruikt om het natuurlijke proces van weefselhydrolyse te versnellen. Al het organische materiaal wordt teruggebracht tot zijn meest elementaire bouwstenen. Aan het einde van het proces is er geen DNA of RNA meer over. Het steriele proceswater wordt vrijgegeven voor recycling (ons lichaam bestaat om te beginnen voor ongeveer 65% uit water), en alleen de anorganische botmineralen blijven over. De botmineralen worden verwerkt tot poeder en in een urn aan de familie teruggegeven, net als bij crematie met vuur.<\/p><p>Aan het einde van het proces wordt het water teruggegeven aan het ecosysteem via de normale rioolwaterzuiveringsinstallatie, net zoals alle uitvaartondernemingen in de Verenigde Staten doen tijdens het balsemingsproces. Het Aquamation-proces produceert een volledig steriele oplossing van aminozuren, suikers, voedingsstoffen, zouten en zeep in een waterige oplossing. Dit zijn de bijproducten van natuurlijke ontbinding.<\/p><p>De stoffelijke resten zijn 100%-veilig en vrij van ziekteverwekkers en ziekten. De as die aan de familie wordt teruggegeven, bestaat uitsluitend uit botmineraal, oftewel calciumfosfaat.
